In October 2006, my co-worker and friend Del invited me to a Stamp A Stack. A Stamp A Stack, for those of you unfamiliar with the term, is primarily a Stampin Up description of a workshop where you create a stack of cards. This particular Stamp A Stack was for Christmas, and we created five cards each of four different designs. It was there that I met my future friend and upline, Judy, for a love of stamping was born that night.
I've always been somewhat creative, but have inherited none of my parents' drawing ability (that went to my brother), so to find a hobby that allows me to be creative with colors, embellishments, techniques, etc. was a dream come true for me. In fact, I have fallen so in love with this hobby that I spent well over $2,000 in my first year of stamping.
Many stamp sets and dollars later, I decided to become a Stampin Up demonstrator in March of 2008. I have yet to give a single demo (my first is scheduled for November 15), but I'm still enjoying the discount all the same. :) And while I do have a separate website for my Stampin Up business (not that it's much of a business when I'm my only customer), I've created this blog, like so many others, to share my love of stamping. Because let's face it... Stampin Up is a WONDERFUL place to start, but there's a whole world out there waiting to be discovered!
